Listen, clarify, route

Define a small set of supported intents, ask for clarification when necessary, then choose an approved destination. Natural-language routing still needs explicit business rules.

Keep people reachable

Test answered, unanswered and unavailable transfers. Preserve the caller’s request for an agreed callback when a person cannot take the call.

Fit and limits

Useful for reception, team selection and routine service triage. Emergencies, clinical decisions, sensitive account actions and ambiguous requests need the appropriate human or emergency service.

Evaluate the route

Review correctly routed calls, clarification requests and failed transfers against the same labelled test set. A routing choice is not evidence that a colleague answered.

FAQ

Does this remove our keypad menu?

That depends on the telephone setup. Agree how the voice workflow interacts with the existing menu, number and transfer destinations.

What happens when the intent is unclear?

Ask an approved clarification question or use the agreed human fallback. Do not guess a sensitive action.
